Peso Pluma, Karol G e Bad Bunny confirmam favoritismo no Billboard Latin Music A
A premiação homenageou Los Angeles Azules e Ivy Queen pelo conjunto da obra
Bad Bunny, Karol G, Peso Pluma e Eslabon Armado confirmaram, nesta quinta-feira (06), o status de favoritos da música pop latina no Billboard Latin Music 2023. O evento foi realizado no Watsco Center, em Miami.
Um dos maiores destaques da noite era Karol G, artista feminina mais indicada na premiação — um total de 13. A colombiana faturou cinco prêmios, incluindo o de melhor álbum, por “Mañana Será Bonito”. O mexicano Peso Pluma, contudo, saiu como o ganhador da noite: liderava a lista com 21 indicações e arrebatou oito prêmios.
Responsável por fundir trap e eletro ao reggaeton nos últimos anos, Bad Bunny levou sete prêmios para casa depois de ser indicado em 15 categorias.
Melhores momentos
A sensação colombiana Karol G continuou a afirmar sua supremacia na cena musical latina. “Mañana Será Bonito” garantiu dois prêmios: um de melhor álbum do ano e outro de álbum de ritmo latino. Karol também foi reconhecida como a artista feminina do ano em dois prêmios: agraciada em na categoria Hot Latin Songs Artist of the Year e Top Latin Albums Artist Of The Year. Em um dos momentos auges da noite, ela foi homenageada com o prêmio Billboard Spirit of Hope por seu trabalho junto à Fundação Con Cora, na qual apoia e capacita mulheres por meio de bolsas de estudo (fornecendo educação para mulheres encarceradas e jovens mães) juntamente com iniciativas artísticas e educacionais.

A noite também foi uma celebração da pluralidade da música pop latina e aos seus pioneiros. Ivy Queen, pioneira do reggaeton, recebeu o prestigiado Billboard Icon, em reconhecimento ao seu impacto no gênero. O lendário grupo mexicano de cumbia Los Ángeles Azules foi homenageado com o prêmio Billboard Lifetime Achievement, reconhecendo a carreira notável marcada pela fusão da cumbia tradicional com o eletrônico global da década de 1990.
Peso Pluma mostra que é… pesado
O artista mexicano Peso Pluma arrebatou nove dos 21 prêmios pelos quais foi indicado, tornando-se o grande vencedor da noite. A música “Ella Baila Sola”, com Eslabon Armado, foi nomeada Música Latina do Ano e Música Mais Transmitida do Ano.
Vestido completamente de branco e usando óculos escuros, Peso apareceu em uma plataforma branca, decorada com suas iniciais PP, enquanto fumaça e luz vermelha preenchiam todo o palco. Era um prenúncio de uma noite de gala para o mexicano.
O cantor dividiu quatro de seus prêmios com Eslabon Armado por sua colaboração na música “Ella Baila Sola”. O single ganhou os títulos de Música Latina do Ano; Música Latina do Ano – Vocal; Música Mais Transmitida do Ano e Música Regional Mexicana do Ano. Ele também havia sido nomeado como Novo Artista do Ano, Artista do Ano das Hot Latin Songs – Masculino, Artista do Ano Regional Mexicano – Solo e Compositor do Ano.
